DESCRIPTION:
JEFFCO 121 is a high strength structural epoxy adhesive for the quick bonding of similar and dissimilar materials. JEFFCO 121 bonds with an immediate high tack consistency, a medium pot life and a quick cure time. High tack and thixotropy also makes “121” excellent for many vertical or overhead applications. The convenient color-coded (“A” black and “B” white) 1:1 volumetric mix ratio is user friendly. With low odor and toxicity, JEFFCO 121 is solvent free, 100% solids and DOT non-regulated.
APPLICATIONS:
Use JEFFCO 121 to bond or glue similar or dissimilar materials such as fiber laminates, concrete, metals, wood, glass, ceramic, and many plastics.
SURFACE PREPARATION: JEFFCO 121 bonds well with minimal surface preparation and in the presence or moisture but it is recommended to remove contaminates such as standing water, rust, and dirt. Substrate sanding or scuffing will enhance bond capabilities. JEFFCO 121 does not bond well to some untreated plastics or to surfaces contaminated with petroleum products.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE: Use JEFFCO 121 between 45°F and 100°F. Thoroughly mix parts “A” (black) and “B” (white) until a consistent gray color is achieved. Apply the mixed
JEFFCO 121 by trowel or putty knife to the desired thickness. Clamp or apply pressure if possible. Surfaces are tack free with good “green” strength development in 2.5 hours. JEFFCO 121 bond strength will fully develop within 48 hours at ambient temperatures.
