System SKU: sp141
System Category:
Civil Engineering
DESCRIPTION:
Jeffco 141 is low modules adhesive specifically formulated to allow a superior bond to pvc and other plastics. Jeffco 141 unique aggregate filled system allows it to spread or trowel with ease of application on virtually any surface. Thixotropy makes 141 excellent for many vertical or overhead applications. The convenient color-coded (“A” white and “B” black) 1:1 volumetric mix ratio is field use friendly. Jeffco 141 is a 100% solids formulation containing no solvents, low toxicity, and low cure odor. Ships DOT non-regulated.
APPLICATIONS:
Use Jeffco 141 to bond similar to dissimilar materials. Also finds use as a faring compound with good sanding properties.
SUGGESTIONS FOR USE:
Jeffco 141 bonds well with minimal surface preparation and in the presence or moisture but it is recommended to remove contaminates such as standing water, rust, and dirt. Substrate sanding or scuffing will enhance bond capabilities. Jeffco 141 does not bond well to some untreated plastics or to surfaces contaminated with petroleum products.
Use Jeffco 141 between 45° and 100°F. Thoroughly mix parts “A” (white) and “B” (black) until a consistent gray color is achieved. Apply the mixed Jeffco 141 by trowel or putty knife to desired thickness. Clamp or apply pressure if possible. Surfaces are tack free with “green” strength development in 2 hours and fully developing in 48 hours at 77°F.
