JEFFCO 3122-D

1:1 DECOUPAGE HARDENER

Back to Hardener page

Product Description:
Aliphatic polyamine hardener. Medium pot life and excellent clarity for epoxy "decoupage" coatings and small clear castings. Low viscosity. Highly resistant to amine blush. Easy to use 1:1 volumetric mix ratio. No VOC’s, 100% solids. Low odor during cure.

Product Uses:
Clear "decoupage" coatings, small clear castings. Generally used with either Jeffco 1301 or 1303 epoxy resins.

TIPS:
Resin and hardener should be between 70° F and 80° F for best results. Work area should be warm (between 75° F and 85° F) during both pouring and curing to ensure best bubble release, gloss and finish quality. Mix equal parts (by volume) of the resin and hardener slowly and carefully for 2-3 minutes, trying not to "whip" in excessive air. Once the material is poured out, a propane torch (low flame) held about 14"-18" from the surface may be used to aid in bubble release and to improve the "leveling and flow" of the coating. Project should be allowed to cure for at least 24 hours in the warm environment before handling. Jeffco 1301 resin provides a harder and more rigid coating, while Jeffco 1303 resin allows for easier bubble release and is more flexible. Keep containers tightly closed after use.
