JEFFCO 3137
High Temperature Laminating and Tooling Hardener
Back to
Hardener page
Product Description:
Very high service temperature hardener which cures sufficiently at room temperature to permit free standing post cure of tools or parts. Low viscosity material permits rapid wet out of heavy weight tooling fabrics. Used primarily with Jeffco 1337 novolac resin, it may also be used as a face coat hardener with Jeffco 908SC. When properly post cured, the finished structure withstands 350° F continuous service. 100% solids, zero VOC’s.
Product Uses:
Composite tooling and high HDT laminated composite parts. Gives a fair cure over-night at ambient temperature, but must be post cured for high temp service (see curing below).
Curing:
After 24 hours at ambient temperature, cure part/tool for several hours at 130° F minimum, slowly ramping the cure up to the desired service temperature. An ultimate cure of 2 hours at 325° F will assure ability of the structure to withstand up to 350° F continuous service.
