JEFFCO sp9601
GP Potting, Casting and Encapsulation Epoxy System
Back to Specialties page
System SKU: sp9601
System Category: Specialty
DESCRIPTION:
Potting and encapsulating resin with good chemical resistance. Long pot life and medium viscosity for good component penetration and coating. Low exotherm that will not harm delicate circuitry. Cures in the presence of moisture and humidity. Highly shock and corrosion resistant. Easy to use 1:1 volumetric mix ratio. White “A” and black “B”, mix to gray.
APPLICATIONS:
Electrical potting, encapsulation, general purpose castings, low exothermal void filling compound, corrosion and shock resistant high build coatings. Excellent general purpose use.
MIXING: Use between 65°-80°F (product and ambient temperatures), 45°F minimum. Remove all surface contaminates such as water, dirt, rust, and petroleum products. Proportion “A” and “B” 1:1 by volume and mix for 3-5 minutes being certain to blend into a uniform gray with no visible stripping. Mix no more material than may be applied before the expiration of the pot life.
POTTING & ENCAPSULATING: Pour mixed material over properly positioned device to be coated in one single mass. Do not pour more than 2lbs or more than 1” thick as exothermic temperature may exceed circuitry tolerances. Allow 2-3 hours set time prior to disturbing coated area. In 24 hours the encapsulated parts may be shipped. Full properties are developed in 7 days at ambient temperatures.
